Technology is breaking barriers when it comes to air travel. American Airlines with its prime focus on customer-centric services is using technology unsparingly.

American Airlines has decided to ease the woes of its foreign language-speaking customers by coming to their aid with the Google Assistant’s real-time translator service.

American Airlines has now become the world’s first airline to deploy Google Assistant’s interpreter mode technology in its lounges at the airports. The new technology is being tested at its Admiral Clubs lounges at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

The Premium Customer Service representatives will benefit from the Google Assistant’s interpreter mode by translating in real-time and offering more personalized service than before.

American Airlines in a statement said that the interpreter mode will run on a Google Nest Hub and will be assisting the customers in the absence of a multilingual staff. The device will be offering translation in 29 languages, including Vietnamese, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, German, French and Arabic.

The technology is aimed at breaking down barriers, providing hassle-free travel experience without language worries and making travel greatly accessible for all than ever before.
