Allegiant Air operates out of its main hub at Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport (LAS). Additionally, Allegiant Air focus hubs include Los Angeles, Cincinnati, Bellingham, Phoenix, Fort Walton Beach, Fort Lauderdale, New Orleans, Tampa, Oakland, Punta Gorda, Orlando, Pittsburgh and St.Petersburg/Clearwater.

The airline’s primary aim is to serve leisure travellers, particularly those heading to warm-weather tourist destinations while escaping from colder northern climates. These major tourist destinations include Las Vegas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Orlando, Tampa Bay and Punta Gorda. Apart from this, Allegiant Air also provides flights services to smaller destinations which have few direct flights by major airlines.

Allegiant Air is currently serving 117 destinations across the USA, mostly to smaller non-hub regional airports only a few times a week. The airline carefully selects its routes based on expected revenue earnings and profitability and depending on this either adds or ends flights services to particular destinations on popular travel demand.

Allegiant Air Fleet & Seating

Allegiant Air possesses an all-Airbus A320 family fleet with a total of 93 aircrafts comprising 38 Airbus A319-100 and 55 Airbus A320-200.

Allegiant Air is primarily a leisure airline offering an all-coach configuration to its customers. The airline offers Extra and Legroom + seating options for comfort on select routes. The customers are offered comfortable, leather seats. The airline also offers its customers flexibility to select a seat at the time of reservation for a nominal fee.

In-flight Services by Allegiant Air

Allegiant Air offers a wide selection of snacks and drinks on board select flights to the customers, which are available for purchase. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased by customers aged 21 and above. Allegiant Air however doesn’t offer Wi-Fi and in-flight entertainment on board its flights. The customers are though allowed to use their own laptops, portable music players and portable movie players on board their aircraft.

Ticketing Options provided by Allegiant Air

Allegiant Air offers two ticketing options to its customers – Base Fare and Trip Flex.

Base Fare: Allegiant Air offers its Base Fare at an extremely low price. The customers are however expected to pay additional fees for add-ons and extras. The Base Fare includes a standard seat and one personal item such as laptop bag, backpack or purse. 

Trip Flex: The Trip Flex offered by Allegiant Air is an add-on to the base fare. It must be purchased by the customer at the time of booking and costs $8 to $20 per person per segment. The customers are allowed to change their itinerary once or postpone the trip entirely without having to pay the $75 change fee, which is usually applicable per segment, per passenger, and can be done up to one hour before scheduled departure.
