U.S. airlines are expanding their routes to Punta Cana, offering more travel options. Three carriers—Delta, Frontier, and Arajet—are launching new flights to the Dominican Republic’s top beach destination. These additions aim to provide more convenience and competitive fares for travelers.

Delta Airlines is introducing a new seasonal route from Detroit to Punta Cana. Starting May 10, 2025, flights will operate once a week, every Saturday. This direct service gives Midwestern travelers an easy way to reach the Caribbean. The route will run until August 2, 2025. Travelers can enjoy Punta Cana’s famous Bavaro Beach or take an excursion to Saona Island for a quieter retreat.

Frontier Airlines is also expanding its service to Punta Cana with a new route from Cincinnati. Flights will begin on May 17, 2025, making Cincinnati the ninth U.S. city with Frontier service to Punta Cana. As a low-cost carrier, Frontier offers budget-friendly fares with an introductory price of $99 for early bookings. This route will operate weekly, but promotional fares will have blackout dates, including May 22-23, May 26, June 28-29, and July 3, 5, and 6. Frontier’s expansion provides another affordable option for travelers heading to the Caribbean.

Arajet, a Dominican low-cost airline, is entering the U.S. market for the first time. The airline, founded in 2022, has been growing across the Caribbean and is now launching multiple U.S. routes. Among them is a new flight from Miami to Punta Cana, operating four times per week starting June 14, 2025. The airline has received approval from the Department of Transportation to expand its services. In addition to Punta Cana, Arajet will also fly from Miami to Santiago and from New York (JFK) to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

These new routes reflect the growing demand for travel to Punta Cana. With Delta, Frontier, and Arajet increasing service, travelers have more choices for a tropical getaway. The expansion benefits both vacationers and the tourism industry, making Punta Cana even more accessible from the U.S.
