American tourists should now leave their COVID-19 pandemic worries behind and get ready to board flights for overseas vacation, completely safe and secure. Several countries around the world have reopened and welcomed American tourists once again.

It’s true that the United States was one of the world’s hardest hit nations due to COVID-19 pandemic, and American tourists were banned by many countries. However, with strict COVID-19 safety protocols in place and PCR testing now becoming routine American tourists are now being welcomed in many countries.

Ever since the U.S. government announced that it was lifting the blanket level-4 “Avoid All Travel” advisory and permitting Americans to leave the country as they wished, this has come as good news for many and is well received in several countries. Let’s take a look at the countries that have reopened for American tourists for quarantine-free travel.

Antigua and Barbuda

American tourists are being allowed to visit Antigua and Barbuda ever since June 4, 2020. They will be required to bring a negative PCR test along with them, which should have been taken no longer than 7 days before arrival here. Direct flights to Antigua and Barbuda are already being operated from Miami and other U.S. hubs.

Aruba

Aruba has allowed American tourists to enter the country since July 10, 2020. The U.S. citizens will be required to fill up an online health declaration form and also upload a negative PCR test 72 hours before boarding flights. Aruba is served by major U.S. airlines such as American Airlines, Delta Airlines, United Airlines and JetBlue Airways with nonstop connections from Miami, Atlanta, New York, and many other U.S. cities.

The Bahamas

Bahamas is permitting American tourists to enter the country. They will however be required to provide a proof of a negative PCR test taken within 5 days, and is to be uploaded to the traveler’s online travel health visa before boarding flights to Bahamas. For staying over 4 nights, the traveler will have to take a 2nd rapid antigen test on the 5th day of stay.

Barbados

American tourists have been visiting Barbados ever since July 12, 2020. Barbados is though allowing entry to U.S. citizens, but considers them to be ‘high risk’ and requires them to bring a negative PCR test, which should not be older than 72 hours before departure.

Mexico

American tourists are always welcome to visit Mexico. In fact, Americans were never banned from entering into the country as it was among the few countries which never closed its borders for them. No negative PCR test is needed for Americans visiting Mexico. Many tourist destinations in the country such as Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo, Tulum and Playa Del Carmen have reopened their hotels and welcomed American tourists. Flights to Mexico have already resumed from many U.S. cities and are operated by American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Airlines, Spirit Airlines, JetBlue Airways and Sun Country Airlines.

Now that many countries have reopened for tourism, there’s no better time than this to enjoy a wonderful vacation for Americans firmly putting the fears of COVID-19 behind, while adhering to safety protocols for healthy well being and safe travel.
